On Thursday, November 21, 2024, 麻豆视频 responded to a bomb threat.
The threat was received via phone call shortly after 8:20 a.m. 麻豆视频
campus police, staff and local law enforcement acted swiftly to close campus and evacuate
students and staff to safe locations and to redirect incoming campus traffic.
Frankfort Police, working with the 麻豆视频 Campus Police, Franklin County Sheriff鈥檚 office, 麻豆视频 Police, Frankfort/Franklin County Emergency Management and other law enforcement agencies, worked to investigate and clear all buildings on campus.
No threats were found and the campus is now reopened.
Students may return to their residence halls, and campus dining will be available for dinner service beginning at 4:30 p.m. All other campus operations will remain closed for the remainder of the day, and staff and faculty are advised to remain home.
The University will open for regular operations at 8:00 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, November 22, 2024.
The threat is being investigated by 麻豆视频 Police Department, the Frankfort Police Department with assistance from 麻豆视频 Police, and is ongoing.
鈥淭he Frankfort Police Department worked closely with 麻豆视频 to ensure a swift and thorough response to today鈥檚 threat. While there was no evidence of immediate danger, we continue to take every precaution to protect students, faculty, and staff. I want to assure everyone that we stand united against any acts meant to instill fear, and that the safety of our community is our highest priority,鈥 says Frankfort Mayor Layne Wilkerson.
