Bio:

Dr. Abdullah S. Alhurani, PhD, MSN, MBA, RN

Dr. Abdullah S. Alhurani is an accomplished nurse scientist, educator, and advanced practice nurse leader with over 18 years of experience in critical care and nursing education. He holds two doctoral degrees—one in Nursing with a specialization in Critical Care and another in Applied Statistics—along with a Master of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare Management.

Dr. Alhurani currently serves as an Associate Professor at Âé¶¹ÊÓÆµ, where he teaches in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. He plays a pivotal role in mentoring doctoral students, guiding scholarly projects, and advancing curricular innovation with a strong emphasis on evidence-based practice and healthcare quality improvement.

His primary research interest lies in understanding the biobehavioral responses to stress in patients with heart failure. Dr. Alhurani has published extensively on this topic, exploring how physiological and psychological stressors influence health outcomes in individuals with cardiovascular disease. His work seeks to bridge clinical practice and empirical research to inform holistic, patient-centered care strategies in acute and chronic care settings.

Dr. Alhurani is also deeply engaged in health policy and advocacy, particularly in promoting the role of advanced practice nurses in addressing healthcare disparities. As a leader and scholar, he is committed to fostering innovation, improving patient outcomes, and preparing the next generation of nurse leaders.
